Summer Water Bubbly

Up first, we have the Summer Water Bubbly, a delightfully crisp French rosé that is packed with everything you are looking for in a great spring wine! This sparkling wine achieves its signature bubbles from the Charmat method – a winemaking process that traps bubbles in wine with carbonation in steel tanks. This deviation from the traditional Champagne method gives these wines less of a brioche or yeasty taste and ensures that the flavor of the base fruit comes through with more clarity.

Summer Water Bubbly has a sophisticated blend of floral and fruity notes, like elderflower, lime, strawberry, and watermelon, but remains dry and is immensely refreshing. Pair it with foods like burgers, fries, and chocolate cake for a great balance between acidity and richness.

2020 Keep It Chill Gamay

Now we all know red wine is typically kept far, far away from refrigerators, but not this one! Here’s a juicy red that is best enjoyed chilled that you can break out this spring for a whole new wine-drinking experience. Gamay wine is pretty similar to Pinot Noir and comes from the Beaujolais region in France which is right next door to Burgundy, the home of Pinot Noir. Gamays tend to have higher minerality and acidity than Pinot Noirs.

The Keep It Chill Gamay is recommended to be served chill to enhance its bright, brambly flavors. In this wine, you’ll find hints of ripe cherries, tart raspberries, cinnamon, cranberry, and blackberry. And we can’t forget to mention that the Keep It Chill Gamay is low-sugar, low-sulfur, and produced sustainably!

2020 Sauvetage Sauvignon Blanc

The Sauvetage Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant, light-bodied white wine that hails from the quintessential home of Sauvignon Blanc – the Ventoux and Languedoc regions of Southern France. The high complexity within the soil and the sunny climate give this wine a unique minerality that emphasizes its natural characteristics and makes it extremely approachable.

To produce this wine, the winemakers first begin with organically-grown grapes that are taken directly to press and then fermented and aged for 6 months in stainless steel. The final blend is a textbook example of a classic Sauvignon Blanc. Notes of pineapple, fresh-cut grass, and citrus join together to make this white wine the perfect accompaniment for sushi, salad, and poultry.

2020 Cherries & Rainbows Red Blend

Cherries & Rainbows Red Blend starts from ripe grapes grown organically and biodynamically in Minervois, France. The winemakers’ philosophy centers around the highest-quality raw materials and using little intervention from vineyard to cellar so that the wine that is produced is fresh and bright. Fermentation and aging in concrete and stainless steel takes place at an eco-friendly winery and we are left with a beautiful, adventurous red blend of Merlot and Syrah. This natural wine is sans soufre (no added sulfur), low-sugar, organic, and vegan.

Thanks to their innovative approach to wine-making, the full, robust flavor of the grapes comes through in every bottle. The Merlot brings the wine its dark, rounded fruit flavors while the Syrah contributes spice and earthiness. Blackberry, cherries, dried herbs, and vanilla are the most prominent tasting notes and make this wine perfect for pairing with cheese, Mexican food, or pasta dishes with hearty red sauces.

2020 Folly of the Beast Pinot Noir

Folly of the Beast is 100% Pinot Noir with grapes picked from sustainable farms up and down the central coast of California, from Monterey to Santa Barbara. After fermentation in stainless steel and a gentle pressing, this mono-varietal wine is then aged for 12 months in 30% new French oak, bringing forth a wine that carries on the Old-World characteristics of Pinot Noir in a modern style.

This medium-bodied wine is nuanced and elegant, with bold, substantial tasting notes of allspice, blackberry, leather, and red cherries. With a wine this expressive and approachable, you can pair it with deliciously savory foods like barbecue, pizza, and cured meats.

2020 Chop Shop Cabernet Sauvignon

Chop Shop Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied, dry red that also hails from California. Its defined structure comes from grapes picked at peak ripeness and aged for 12 months in a combination of American and French oak, 30% of which is new. Its fruit-forward personality is welcoming and a real crowd-pleaser. Not too sweet, but still juicy and with a satisfying balance of acidity that makes you keep coming back for more.

The standout flavors of this wine consist of dark cherry, dark plum, raspberry, and vanilla. When you have a wine that holds its fruit flavors well without an overpowering sweetness, you can drink it with heavier foods like ribs, beef, and other barbecued meats.

2020 Pacificana Chardonnay

The Pacificana Chardonnay embodies the pioneering spirit of California winemakers. This modern version of a classic Californian chardonnay pulls back the reigns on the traditional, heavy oak notes. Fermentation is done completely in barrels and then 6 months of aging takes place in a combination of French and American oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The wine produced carries an engaging palate of butterscotch, lemon rind, a hint of oak, and vanilla.

Pacificana firmly believes that a happy planet makes happy wine and they have teamed up with 1% For The Planet – an international organization working to support eco-conscious businesses. Through this collaboration, Pacificana donates 1% of their sales towards causes that benefit and preserve the environment.
