2021 Chappellet Pritchard Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

This highly coveted, limited production wine showcases the powerful elegance of Pritchard Hill winegrowing. The fruit – 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot – comes from rocky mountainside vineyards, and the wine is aged for 22 months in new French oak.

From the first sip, this wine demands attention with its opulent expression, layered depth, and nuance. Its captivating array of black currant, cassis, and ripe blackberry aromas mix with those of smoke, cedar, tobacco leaf, and crushed violet. Poised on the palate, it is refined with warm notes of dark berry, sandalwood, dried herbs, and anise, followed by a polished finish with undertones of vanilla, nutmeg, and dark chocolate.

2024 Dashe Cellars Chenin Blanc ‘Concrete Cuvée’

Today, finding a quality bottle of Californian Chenin Blanc can be a challenge. While Chenin Blanc once dominated the vineyards of California, acreage has decreased dramatically to a mere 4,000 acres – less than 1% of all the grapes currently planted in the state. For those looking for a remarkable glass of Californian Chenin Blanc, Dashe Cellars has the answer.

The ‘Concrete Cuvée’ from Dashe Cellars is produced with fruit from the Sacramento River Valley, where vineyards are naturally cooled by breezes coming off the San Francisco Bay. The wine is fermented in a unique egg-shaped concrete vessel to enhance its minerality, then bottled quickly to maintain freshness.

This velvety textured wine opens with fragrant aromas of ripe pear, peach, and apricot mingled with honeycomb, white florals, pineapple, and orange blossom. On the palate, it’s generous and round with lush flavors of apricot and pear, then hints of grapefruit and lemon zest. The finish is persistent with lingering notes of dry stone fruit.

Summer Water Rosé

This central coast rosé has a pale peachy salmon hue thanks to minimal skin extraction, and it is crafted using the direct press method. The grapes – 85% Grenache, 15% Syrah – are gently pressed after harvesting to preserve their pure, delicate flavor.

Summer Water Rosé’s fresh notes of vibrant strawberry, juicy watermelon, and sweet cherry include a playful hint of bubblegum. A subtle mineral undertone of crushed rock provides structure and balance to the wine, highlighting its crisp and lively personality.
