As demand for soju, the premium clear, colorless craft spirit known as the “national drink” of Korea, continues to rise, Vintegrity is thrilled to announce the addition of two new brands – Hodori Soju and Jindori Soju – to its spirits portfolio.

What is soju?

Soju, while new to many American drinkers, is not a young spirit. Its origins in Korea date to the 13th century. The distilled spirit is traditionally made from rice, barley, wheat, and other grains and is rather mild, with a slightly sweet or earthy profile and a lower ABV than spirits like vodka and whiskey.

Soju is South Korea’s most popular alcoholic beverage, and consumers in the U.S. are taking notice. It aligns nicely with the growing trend toward lighter spirits and beverages, particularly among Gen Z consumers who follow Korea’s rising place in pop culture. According to SevenFiftyDaily, while soju represented less than 1% of total U.S. spirits volume as of 2025, its sales increased by 133% between 2019 and 2025.

Hodori Soju

Hodori, in eye-catching green bottles, is a traditional-style craft Korean soju. The name comes from the 1988 Seoul Olympics mascot, Hodori the tiger. Those big cats, though sadly extinct in Korea, still play a significant role in Korean culture, so the name represents the brand’s deep connection to the country’s millennia-old identity.

Hodori’s more noticeable alcohol character makes it stand out from other mainstream soju brands. While others tend to lean sweeter, Hodori is more grain-forward, with earthy notes that pair well with savory foods.

Hodori Soju is available in twelve different flavors:

  • The Original: Clean, neutral, and crisp.
  • Yogurt: Light-bodied with a creamy yogurt flavor.
  • Green Grape: Bright and juicy with a refreshing finish.
  • Peach: Aromatic with ripe peach sweetness.
  • Apple: Crisp apple flavor with a clean finish.
  • Strawberry: Vibrant with a candy-like strawberry flavor.
  • Blueberry: Tart with bold blueberry notes.
  • Pineapple: Tropical and juicy with a light finish.
  • Passion Fruit: Lively, tart, and bright.
  • Plum: Smooth with light floral notes.
  • Mandarin: Citrusy with zesty lift.
  • Watermelon: Light and refreshing for easy drinking.

Jindori Soju

Jindori is a unique, small-batch, wine-based South Korean soju. The name is taken from the Jindo dog, characterized by its fierce loyalty and native to Jindo Island, famous for its fertile land and unique geography.

Jindori Soju is crafted in small batches for better quality control, and unlike traditional soju made from grains, this wine-based brand is known for its smoother, more refined taste. It’s a great introductory brand for those who are new to the category, with an approachable, more fruit-forward profile.

Jindori Soju is available in seven different flavors:

  • Passion Fruit
  • Peach
  • Strawberry
  • Apple
  • Blueberry
  • Green Grape
  • Lychee
