The Town Branch Distillery has just released its latest, Overproof Whiskey, an expertly crafted 104-proof blend of four distinguished Kentucky whiskeys: Bourbon Whiskey (70%), Wheated Bourbon Whiskey (10%), Double Oak Whiskey (10%), and Rye Whiskey (10%).
Pairing Overproof’s rich and complex profile with a high proof point was a deliberate decision by Town Branch, created specifically for bartenders and mixologists looking to elevate their craft cocktails. The higher proof provides a bold and robust backbone, enhancing each drink with its ability to stand out among other strong ingredients. Town Branch Overproof Whiskey features sweet aromas of caramel and molasses intertwined with light apricot and cocoa. Town Branch Distillery
Town Branch was the first distillery to be founded in Lexington, Kentucky, after Prohibition. Named for the famous Branch River that flows through Lexington, it’s part of the Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company, originally the Lexington Brewing Company, which was established in 1890, then revitalized in 1999 by Irish entrepreneur and scientist Pearse Lyons. Today, seventh-generation distiller Mark Lyons operates the Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company.
