Produced and bottled in Walla Walla, WA, Secret Squirrel sources fruit from Red Mountain and local vineyards. This region is celebrated for its arid to semi-arid climate with warm, dry temperatures that allow growers ample control over grape development. 2018 Secret Squirrel Rhône Blend
A standout expression of Washington winemaking and the acclaimed Columbia Valley, the 2018 Secret Squirrel Rhône Blend is a vibrant blend of 58% Syrah, 25% Mourvèdre, and 17% Grenache. A complex and refined wine with an approachable profile, it opens with alluring aromas of wild bramble berry, dark cherry, and cracked black pepper. On the palate, juicy ripe blackberry and cherry flavors mingle with subtle game and oregano notes. After aging for 22 months in French oak casks, a polished and well-balanced wine emerges.
2019 Secret Squirrel Cabernet Sauvignon
The Secret Squirrel 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon delivers complexity and elegance. This wine is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot. It showcases what the vineyards of Walla Walla and Red Mountain produce best, with layers of bold red and black fruit, tobacco, cedar, dark chocolate, and barrel spice notes. It is aged for 22 months in French oak casks, followed by an extended bottle aging before its release, making for an undeniably smooth experience that drinks well above its weight class.
