Ortiz holds degrees in medicine and social psychology and has expertise as an art collector and former nephrologist. She advocates for a blend of artistic and scientific excellence, as well as leading sustainability practices, in winemaking and employs cutting-edge technology across her wineries. At Zolo in Agrelo, Mendoza, and Tapiz in San Pablo, Uco Valley, she leads a skilled technical team, including top Argentine winemaker Fabian Valenzuela and vineyard manager Carlos Correas.

Boozy Botanicals
Boozy Botanicals, known for vibrant and unique all-natural syrups, is a local Kansas City business started by Cheryl Bisbee! Her infused syrups elevate cocktails with rich flavors, crafted from fresh ingredients sourced from nearby growers and businesses. Hint: Boozy Botanicals syrups are also great for crafting non-alcoholic treats like smoothies, salad dressings, marinades, and more!

Carol Shelton
Carol Shelton Wines
Carol Shelton is a highly decorated winemaker who began her wine career 35 years ago at UC-Davis, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Enology. After nearly two decades at Windsor Vineyards, overseeing the production of 45 wines annually, she discovered her affinity for Zinfandel. In 2000, Carol and her husband founded Carol Shelton Wines, where she passionately crafts award-winning Zinfandels sourced from vineyards across California. Carol Shelton’s wines are celebrated for their robust flavors and aromas.

Charbay Distillery
Jenni and Marko Karakasevic, owners of Charbay Distillery, inherited the family business from Marko’s father in 2017. They blend European tradition with American ingenuity, passing down their knowledge to the next generation. Charbay’s pioneering spirit shines through with their innovative spirits and wines, including the first 100% fresh fruit flavored vodka in the US and pioneering beer-to-whiskey distillation.

This southern France winery is under the direction of Françoise Frissant. She oversees 143 acres of vineyards and wine production with help from her husband, Pascal, and son, Mathias. Dandelion Vineyards
Elena Brooks is the founder and winemaker of Dandelion Vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Growing up in Bulgaria, Brooks spent a great deal of her childhood at the winery her mother worked at, translating for tourists and visiting winemakers. By the age of 16, Brooks was already crafting her own wine. Today, Brooks continues to astound wine enthusiasts with Dandelion Vineyard’s celebration of terroir and fine fruit.

Domaine Pfister
Domaine Pfister has crafted remarkable wines since the era of the American Revolution. The company is now guided by 8th-generation owner Mélanie Pfister. Trained as an engineer and oenologist in Bordeaux and Dijon, Pfister honed her skills through internships at renowned wineries such as Zind-Humbrecht, Méo-Camuzet, Château Cheval Blanc, Château d’Yquem, and Craggy Range, before returning to lead her family’s estate in 2006. The wines produced under Pfister’s direction reflect the northeastern French terroir and family tradition.

Lindsey Hoopes, the second-generation owner, leads the operations at Hoopes Vineyards. Hoopes incorporates pioneering practices across the estate. Before assuming her role at the winery, she gained experience in international logistics and worked in the homicide department of the San Francisco District Attorney’s office. At Hoopes Vineyards, all vineyards are either Certified Organic or actively pursuing certification, reflecting their dedication to environmental stewardship.

As a level 1 sommelier, Kerr’s expertise contributes to crafting exceptional wines that are limited only by her boundless imagination.

Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue Wines
Kylie Minogue launched her wine company in collaboration with Benchmark Drinks in 2020. The portfolio features 9 incredible wines, like the Prosecco Rosé, which was reported to be the best-selling prosecco in the United Kingdom in 2021 by Nielson Holdings. Her wines have earned two golds from Drink Business Wine Awards and are now available in several countries.

Laird & Company is one of the nation’s oldest distilleries, first producing Applejack (a staple that is still available!) in the 17th century! Lisa Laird Dunn, 9th generation, is now in charge. To craft their renowned spirits, Laird and Co. exclusively uses fresh Virginia-grown apples. Every step, from crushing and juicing to fermenting, takes place at the distillery.

Sun Goddess Wines is the creation of renowned artist, Mary J. Blige, in partnership with Fantinel Winery. Fantinel is situated in the esteemed wine region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. Sun Goddess Wines presents a captivating selection of white and rosé wines with notable expressions of Pinot Grigio, Blige’s favorite wine. Crafted under the direct guidance of Blige and Marco Fantinel, these wines are renowned for their vibrant minerality and refreshing qualities.

Christina Turley
Turley Wine Cellars
Turley Wine Cellars was founded in 1993 by emergency room physician Larry Turley. Now, the oldest of Turley’s daughters, Christina, is the Vice President of the company. She is a Certified Sommelier and passed the WSET Advanced program with Honors. She has also been named both Forbes’ “30 Under 30” and Wine Enthusiast’s “40 Under 40.”
Lucy Pistolas: Mezcal Artesanal
This smooth, approachable mezcal is produced in a female-owned distillery that was founded directly following the Mexican Revolutionary War. It serves as a tribute to the women who played a critical role in the war and showed incredible strength and determination protecting the land where this mezcal is now crafted.
